Bruce is the Operations Manager in the Office of Donor Relations and Cindy works as a part of the team that ministers to wives that have just moved to Little Rock to join in the work at FamilyLife.

Bruce grew up in Hopedale, Illinois - a small farming community.  Upon graduating from Illinois State University with a degree in mathematics, he spent 18 months as an actuary with State Farm Insurance.  Desiring to “make a difference” in the lives of young people, he then taught high school math for 9 ½ years.  While transitioning to FamilyLife, he returned to the insurance industry for two years.

Cindy, a native of Ontario, Canada, trained as a Radiologic Technologist and worked in a hospital and medical clinics until becoming a mom to Katie (1/97), Kara (11/98), Connor (4/02), and Callie (8/04).  She keeps very busy with the younger two children at home, and also finds time to participate in local Bible studies.

We thank God for the privilege of being raised in Christian homes where God’s Word was upheld as the blueprint for all areas of life.  This heritage is something that we appreciate more as we see the continual decline of society and corresponding breakdown of family values.  God has given us a passion to help heal broken families and provide tools to strengthen every family so that a Godly legacy is passed on.  He is allowing us to fulfill that passion as missionaries with FamilyLife.

They even had a reception afterward where they offered a light lunch and information tables about passports and registering to vote. Many of the 61 being naturalized yesterday were coming from countries not nearly as developed as the U.S. It was cool to sit in the courtroom and appreciate what ...

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, right? Well, how about a multimedia lesson on the Lord's Supper? A couple of Fridays ago, our nightly devotions brought us to the Lord's Supper in Luke. We decided to make it real it on the spot, so we found an unleavened bread recipe on the internet, madea "loaf"together, and then celebrated. Then along with Paul's words from I Cor 11, we celebrated as a family - and I think it is something the kids will rememb...
