  Wow!  We can't believe that summer is almost over.  It's been so busy it didn't feel like much of a break.  Rachel came back from ministering to the Burmese refugees in Tennessee and it certainly appears that God has answered our prayers to really do a work in her heart for missions.  She wrote our August prayer letter in its entirety talking about her trip and how God used her in the lives of the refugees and how He used them in her life as well.  You can see it...

The big news of the week is that Rachel is spending part of her summer working with Burmese refugees in Smyrna Tennessee.  The adult daughter of some of our closet friends at FamilyLife, Kelli Blunier has raised her financial support and is spending her summer working with several hundred refugees teaching them English and sharing Christ with them.  She asked us if Rachel would be interested in joining her there for some real live ministry to these people and we and Rachel jumped at ...

Ironically, we went to post an update to our website and the last one was right after the March tornado outbreak.  Well...Last Tuesday we had another tornado come though our neighborhood, this time on the ground and with all of us home.  We rode the storm out in the basement and when we came out we realized how blessed we were to have only lost some trees.  There were no reports of injuries that we've heard of and the damage is only cosmetic.  See pictures in the photo album ...
