Ministry Description

Konnichiwa (Hello!) from Shelley Carl in JAPAN. The Lord confirmed my call to a lifetime of missions by miraculously healing me of rhematoid arthritis at the age of 17. I was living in Japan with my family at the time (1972-1976), as my father served in the U.S. Army. After graduating from high school at Camp Zama, I studied for the ministry at Bethany College of the Assemblies of God in Santa Cruz, California.

While serving as a Missionary Associate in Tokyo from 1980-83, the Lord continued to burden my heart for the lost. I have had the privilege of serving as an AG Missionary since 1986, church planting in one of the LEAST evangelized areas of one of the most DIFFICULT and EXPENSIVE mission fields in the world.

My mission is "LEADING JAPANESE TO FOLLOW JESUS" as I serve as interim pastor at Momochi Symphony Church in the city of Fukuoka on the island of Kyushu, Japan. Please stop by my website often and be inspired to pray for revival in Japan!

Years later I found out he is the son of a highly respected pastor in the Japan Assemblies of God, and I found out the boy's name is Gen. Later I learned he went to Bible College and then to seminary. Just last month, he graduated fro...

Do you sometimes feel "pounded" from all sides? Japanese have a wonderful custom of pounding rice and making it into a delicious meal. In this video, Rev. Kikuyama (President of Central Bible College Japan) and Rev. Honda (Pastor of Central Bible Church in Tokyo) work in tandem to pound the rice. After a lot of hard work it resulted in a delicious meal. In this picture there are four dishes that all contain pounded rice (mochi). Surely God will make something beautiful of the ...
