Ministry Description

We are starting our 27th year on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ. We both grew up in the Chicago area. Nook is from the northern suburbs while Ken grew up in northwest Indiana. We met in the summer of 1979 when we joined staff with Campus Crusade for Christ and were married a few years later in 1981. Both of us came to know the Lord through the ministry of Campus Crusade during our college years. God has blessed us with four wonderful children: Karen (20) who is a junior in college, Katelyn (17) who is a junior in high school and twin boys, Cody and Christopher (13) who are 7th graders.

Here's a picture from one of my favorite moments at the conference. On the last day of it after the separate sessions for men and women, the conferees write a love letter to their spouse. When they finish, the men gather and start singing as they walk to the meeting room where their wives are meeting. What a special time for these couples! We took about a half hour for the couples to break into small groups so they could experience what a HomeBuilders group is like. As you can see, they really enjoyed this time. Please pray that several HB groups start as a result of the conference. I'm a proud husband and dad showing off his family :-). Picture of the team God brought together to present the conference. (Kneeling)Parfait Mitchai, the director of Campus Crusade in Benin and his wife, Ann Marie. (Standing): Bai and Lina Diagone who spoke with me at the conference serve with Campus Crusade in Ivory Coast. Jean Paul and Catherine Idjalaoue who leads the Military Ministry of CCC in Benin. Jean Paul was the man who really made the conference a reality. Picture from the church service I spoke at. As you can see, the church's building is only partially completed. What a joyous time of worship! I made a new friend at church. What a sweetheart! Ken with his two translators after the church service he spoke at on Sunday. My message was translated into French by Christopher the man on the right and also Fon, a native tribal language. Picture of all the couples who attended the conference Banner announcing the conference that was hanging in front of the meeting facility. This is a group of men from the Benin military who meet weekly with Jean Paul in a discipleship group. Many of them came with their wives to the conference.
